These resources are often fragile. <span class=\"\">When managed with respect for ecosystems, work and traditional knowledge, they are levers for human well-being, protect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pierrejohnson.eu\/en\/tag\/biodiversity\/\">biodiversity<\/a> and the well-being of local rural people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pierrejohnson.eu\/en\/tag\/tea\/\">Tea<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pierrejohnson.eu\/en\/tag\/cocoa\/\">cocoa<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pierrejohnson.eu\/en\/tag\/coffee\/\">coffee<\/a>, aromatic and medicinal plants, spices and cosmetic ingredients are fragile resources appreciated by everybody.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Our approach<\/h3>\n<p id=\"footer-info\"><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\">For more than 20 years, Pierre Johnson has supported a sustainable and fair development of natural products, combining:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\">a classical market approach (market research, monitoring and quality control, business plans, etc.);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\">the p<span class=\"\">rinciples of fair trade (fair and equitable payments, pr\u00e9paration to certification when desireable);<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\">compliance studies, specifically on the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\">the p<span class=\"\">rinciples of an ecological economy (ecosystem review, accounting for externalities)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This approach allows to express the full potential of local know-how and ecosystems and agrosystems, creating value chains and brands of excellence, valued at their fair prices on national and international markets.<\/p>\n<h3>Our services<\/h3>\n<div id=\"gt-res-content\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<ul>\n<li>Development of natural products: market study, quality control, business plans, capacity building.<\/li>\n<li>Ethics and sustainability: social responsibility, fair trade, organic agriculture, access and benefit sharing, certification.<\/li>\n<li>Legal advice: Convention on Biological Diversity and Nagoya protocol, regulation of imports in the European Union.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Our experience<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ten years of exp\u00e9rience as a Fair Trade project manager for producers organizations and as a facilitator of an international community of practice on Fair Trade.
